I don't think I was born with much musical talent.
But I loved making music.
So every time I tried to enjoy it, I kept bumping into little walls. I climbed over them one by one — but I want those who come after me to spend more of that time just enjoying music.
So I worked through each problem, one at a time, and slowly built the learning tool I always wished I'd had.

MAKINE, a child of the Wind-Up Folk, explains clipping, headroom, and gain decisions in plain words. AUTO mode analyzes the input and adjusts the gain toward an RMS level of about -18 dBFS.
